category 1 :     Ipswich Cranes
1	Moody Dockland — taken on a grey turbulent day
2	Cranes Salute — at weekends the cranes are usually lined up in one direction - the exact direction tends to vary.  On this occasion, the appearance is of the cranes 'saluting' the Riverside Maltings.
3	Inline Cranes — parked for the weekend!
4	The Gathering Storm — taken during the high winds of March 2008, when the wind prevented work and the cranes were parked in the safest direction
5	Stoke Quay — the cranes, viewed from a part of Ipswich waterfront which is rarely visited
6	The lonely viewing point
7	The old bouy, daytime  •  a view of Ipswich docks development taken from Stoke Bridge.

9	Reflections — on this particular night, the water was so still it provided a perfect reflective surface - well, not totally perfect - I had to wait for plastic bags & other garbage to drift out of sight!
category 2 :     Ipswich Landmarks
1	Grandma — taken late on a Sunday evening when the town centre was unusually quiet
2	GRE — this picture with Christmas lighting was taken December 2007
3	Novotel — a difficult subject owing to the orange street lighting
4	Skatepark by twilight — an unusual deep red twilight
5	The Homecoming — as one arrives into Ipswich at night along the A12, the final part always reminds me of a plane coming in to land (taken from the bridge)
6	The Information Highway — information overload!
category 3 :     Ipswich Views
1	Nacton Shores — I arrived late, so the sun had almost vanished when I took this shot across the River Orwell from Nacton Shores.
2	Orwell Bridge by moonlight — an unusual photo opportunity!
3	Orwell Bridge by night — it was so dark I could barely make out where to point the camera!
4	Riverside in Twilight — one of those unusual twilights when the horizon lights up in a deep red glow. The atmosphere of this picture was further enhanced by the sky in the last phase of deep blue.
5	Wherstead Sunset taken from The Strand
6	Wolverstone Marina by night — taken in pitch black - the giveaway is the lights reflected on the water - you would never see that in daylight!
category 4 :     Suffolk Views
1	Framlingham at dusk
2	Troubled Sky — somewhere in the East Anglian countryside ~ the cloud formation ran for miles
3	Freston Woods — bluebell time in May
4	Royal Hospital School - Holbrook - the floodlit tower can be seen for miles
5	Martian — a recent East Anglian Daily Times report said 'Suffolk is a UFO hotspot'.  Well, it's true! Here's a green-eyed Martian caught inspecting Ipswich Sewage Works - I wonder what he thought of that!
